Family Drug Support received Royal approval in January 2014 with a visit by HRH the Princess Royal.
Sue Hall Coordinator of Family Drug Support and Founder of FDS was given the privilege of showing HRH the Princess Royal around FDS display
The display was made up of 9 story boards which started off explaining in graphic detail how the whole family suffers and are seriously affected by a family member misusing drug or alcohol. It also went on to highlight the cost to the wider community before explaining the ongoing tailored support FDS can offer to families as well as access to a FDS web site and telephone helpline.
HRH was also shown the drug box; drink spicker’s tops for bottles, alcohol and information wheels, that FDS use in partnership with South Wye Drug & Alcohol forum and Herefordshire Police when out in the community doing drug and alcohol awareness events.
